While Filip Forsberg had a successful season for the Nashville Predators last year, his wife Erin Alvey gave him a memorable experience on Sunday.
On Mother’s Day, Forsberg and Alvey declared their baby Felix Forsberg—who weighed eight pounds, eight ounces—to have arrived.
The great forward for the Predators and his kid were featured in many images in an Instagram post that served as the announcement.
Their shared Instagram photo with the message, “Proudly introducing Felix Forsberg.” “Weighted 8 pounds, 8 ounces at birth this morning. We consider ourselves to be the luckiest two persons alive right now.”
Felix’s birth was hinted at on social media in January when Forsberg and Alvey photoshopped a mustache onto an ultrasound image. Forsberg went on to have a fantastic second half of the season, culminating in a season that set a team record with 48 goals.
It so happened that former teammate Kevin Fiala and wife Jessica had daughter Masie-Mae on the same day Felix Forsberg arrived. Fiala, a player for the Los Angeles Kings, spent five seasons (2014–2019) as a member of the Predators.
Forsberg just completed the second year of an eight-year, $68 million contract he signed with the Predators in 2022.
