Craig Roh, a former Michigan football player, passed away after a more than 18-month fight with colon cancer. His age was thirty-three.
In addition to announcing the former Wolverines player’s passing and offering a link to a GoFundMe, Roh’s widow, Chelsea, also mentioned her late husband’s future goals for his family and company.
“I wanted to let all of his followers know that after an 18-month battle with Stage IV colon cancer, God brought Craig home on Monday, February 26th,” Roh’s spouse posted to Twitter.
“Craig kept his battle quiet since his main priorities were creating the greatest products and providing the finest content possible. He outlined a schedule for his company, so pay attention… Many have enquired as to how they may assist.
Before making his commitment to Michigan in 2008, Roh was rated by Rivals as the nation’s No. 67 overall prospect and No. 7 defensive end.
As a true freshman in 2009, he participated in 12 games and finished with 37 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks.
Over the following three years, Roh blossomed into a valuable component of the Wolverines’ defense, concluding his collegiate football career with 150 total tackles, 26.5 tackles for loss, and 10.5 sacks.
After his time at Michigan, Roh was not selected in the draft. He spent two seasons as a member of the Carolina Panthers before entering the Canadian Football League and won the Grey Cup with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2019.
