On Saturday afternoon, multiple reports surfaced that Miami Hurricanes freshman QB Jarren Williams did not travel to Blacksburg with the team, and was suspended for this week’s game.
While there has been no official announcement on this suspension by Miami Athletics, it does not look good to have yet another QB suspended this season. Now-starting QB N’Kosi Perry was suspended for the season opener against LSU, and fellow backup Cade Weldon just completed a 4-game suspension last week.
A talented player from Lawrenceville, GA, Williams might have the brightest future of any player in the QB room. However, he has not been able to make a splash on the field so far at Miami, and that has seemingly frustrated the 2018 Army All-American.
With or without Williams, Miami faces Virginia Tech in a key game this afternoon, as both teams look to gain or move closer to bowl eligibility this year.
