The Detroit Lions made it all the way to the NFC Championship Game this past season, marking their first postseason appearance in decades.
The Lions ultimately lost to the San Francisco 49ers, but the supporters should be happy with what the team has accomplished.
Since Dan Campbell became head coach, Detroit has been improving gradually, and he has the squad ready to take another step forward in 2024.
The Lions are a real contender for the Super Bowl in 2024 with the majority of their key players back and some much-needed support in the secondary.
Detroit’s offensive team is among the most entertaining in the league, and as their young players continue to gain experience, they should only grow better.
According to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, the Lions have chosen to bring back Donovan Peoples-Jones for the wide receiver room.
“Source says @BleacherReport that free agent wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones is re-signing with the #Lions for a one-year contract for up to $2 million. DPJ, who is only 25 years old and considered a rising talent by the team, was given top priority by Detroit to be kept.
Peoples-Jones was acquired by the Lions during the previous NFL trade deadline, and they will now get the entire campaign to assess him.
Peoples-Jones had some serious glimpses while playing for the Cleveland Browns, but once the club added players like Elijah Moore and Amari Cooper, he was cut from the starting lineup.
Peoples-Jones is a good upside pick, but Detroit also has Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Sam LaPorta to rely on in the passing game.
