In order to comply with the pay cap, the Buffalo Bills released many players to begin their offseason adjustments. But these were no ordinary players. A large number of those let go were seasoned pros who had been on the squad for several years. Tre’Davious White was one of them.
White, a cornerback who spent his entire seven-year career in the Bills uniform, is currently receiving offers as a free agency. According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the 29-year-old veteran will be visiting the Los Angeles Rams and the Las Vegas Raiders this week.
It should come as no surprise that clubs are interested in White. Even if he may have dealt with ailments for the previous two seasons, his résumé nonetheless demonstrates remarkable credentials. The cornerback was selected to the All-Pro team and named a Pro Bowler in both the 2019 and 2020 seasons. It’s arguable that White’s finest year was 2019. In 15 regular-season starts, he recorded 58 total tackles (48 solo), 17 passes defended, and 6 interceptions. He was even nominated for the AP Defensive Player of the Year Award because of his performance that season.
The 5-foot-11, 192-pound CB accumulated 311 combined tackles (242 solo, 69 assisted) in 82 games over his seven years with the Bills. He also had 68 passes defended and 18 interceptions. White recorded 32 total tackles (22 solo) and five passes defended in seven postseason games.
