The defensive end was cut loose by the Raiders on Tuesday, and he made the announcement on social media shortly after. The transaction was especially upsetting because it happened just hours after the Raiders had posted a video about Rochell and his brother serving in the Air Force as part of the NFL’s Salute to Service campaign. Rochell responded by pointing out how unfortunate the timing of those events was (ironically, his bio on X, formerly Twitter, says, “I’ve been advised to stop tweeting random stuff.”)
But Rochell’s wife quickly exposed another aspect of the deal and a peek into the challenges of being an NFL player. Influencer Allison Kuch revealed her pregnancy and that she was expecting the couple’s first child in December in a video that she uploaded on social media.
Kuch assured viewers, “My husband and I are fine, and at the end of the day, the NFL is a business.” “We’re all right. We have one another. However, I would be lying if I claimed that I was unaffected, indifferent, or that it didn’t make me feel anything.
That being said, it would be challenging for anyone to uproot their life and household during a stressful period. Beyond the transaction that is shared on news wires and social media, Kuch’s film offers some further insight.
