Mike Gesicki, the new tight end for the Cincinnati Bengals, came to the team with one main goal in mind.
During his media introduction on Thursday, Gesicki stated that he has been considering a move to the Bengals since the beginning of the summer. The tight end acknowledged that even a bad evaluation would not have mattered while quarterback Joe Burrow was on the team since he had heard positive things about it from former teammates who had played there.
“Despite everything else, they might have claimed it was the worst place on earth, but when I saw that No. 9 was the quarterback, I thought, ‘That sounds like a place I want to go,’” Gesicki remarked.
It goes without saying that Burrow is well-liked in the NFL. Having played his whole career in the AFC with Miami and New England, Gesicki would have watched from a distance, but it was obvious he saw something he wanted to be a part of. With 20 receiving touchdowns in his career, the tight end ought to play a significant part in the Cincinnati attack.
