Before their Thursday night game against the Boston Bruins, the Toronto Maple Leafs made a few roster changes.
The newest Maple Leaf is Joel Edmundson, who was acquired from the Washington Capitals. This season, Edmundson has 49 blocks and 59 hits.

Brad Treliving’s time to make a huge statement at the trade deadline is running out, as many of the NHL’s top trade candidates are already in the process of making trades. The deadline is in just a few days.
It has been a pretty up-and-down season for Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving.
Several of his attempts have failed, including those involving Ryan Reaves and John Klingberg. But some of his other choices, like Simon Benoit and Martin Jones, have proven to be quite worthwhile.
Giving out one-year contracts has been one thing he has done effectively, reducing a lot of risk associated with his contracts.
Although his acquisition of Ilya Lyubushkin was a good beginning, he will need to take a lot more action to improve his Toronto Maple Leafs team’s chances of winning the Stanley Cup.
Chris Tanev, Anthony Mantha, and most recently Vladimir Tarasenko were sent to Dallas, Vegas, and Florida, three other teams who are contenders for the Stanley Cup, earlier this week.
By this time last year, Ryan O’Reilly, Noel Acciari, Luke Schenn, Jake McCabe, Sam Lafferty, Erik Gustaffson, and a few other players had already been added by Kyle Dubas. And even though there’s still some time before the deadline, Treliving has to make one or more trades if the Leafs want to have a legitimate chance at making a deep playoff run.
