Very few players achieved it.
His rise to fame was one of the highlights of Arlington’s 2023 season, and his personality lasted into October, helping to forever etch Garcia into Rangers lore.
With his arm and bat, Garcia became a household name in the baseball world during his 2023 season.
MLB.com rates Garcia as the ninth right fielder in the game starting in 2024 in its ongoing ranking of the top 10 for each position.
Last year, Garcia wasn’t on the list.
He was chosen between Josh Lowe of the Tampa Bay Rays and Teoscar Hernandez of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
He led the Rangers with an .
836 OPS, 29 doubles, 39 home runs, and 107 RBIs.
He earned a spot in the American League All-Stars for his team.
Few players have done as well in the postseason as Garcia.
He had a postseason record 22 RBIs in 15 playoff games en route to the Rangers’ World Series title.
In the postseason, he batted .
323 with eight home runs and won ALCS MVP honors against the Houston Astros.
