Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has revealed that Erling Haaland may not play again until next month.
According to Guardiola, the striker has suffered a setback in his return from injury.
Haaland has been out of action since mid-December with a foot ailment and has missed City’s previous eight matches.
The Norway international returned to training last week, providing hope to fans that he could appear against Newcastle United on Saturday evening.
However, Guardiola ruled out that idea in his pre-match press conference.
“Hopefully at the end of this month, he’ll be ready.
“It was a little bit more than we expected. It’s a bone, it takes time. We’ve missed him,” Guardiola said.
